Goodbye to Windows for Workgroups 3.11

After 15 years, the curtain finally falls for Windows for Workgroups 3.11. On November first, Microsoft pulled the plug on the first Microsoft Operating System with TCP/IP support. Although the system hasn’t been available to customers since 2001, some hardware vendors still incorporated an embedded version of Windows for Workgroups 3.11 in their appliances. The operating system has been replaces with Windows XP Embedded.
